An Trane air handler (Model #TAM4A0A30S21SBA, Serial #1315123TAV, installed around 2013) is having issues. When it turns on, it makes strange noises, and the green light flashes four times and repeats with a delay in between. The blower does not run.
I've already cleaned a very dirty filter and reset the system, but the problem continues. It has not been serviced in a long time. As there is a major renovation starting soon in the home, with the family moving out in about less than a month, would like to understand the problem and potential solutions (whether repair or replacements) and their estimates cost, and what makes sense.
Any professional insight on the likely cause of the four-flash error and the general repair effort would be helpful for our decision-making.
