I am gonna install a secret switch in my truck, any suggestion..
and did anybody have a mesh installed in his/her stomack to repair hernia? That's what I am having next week...the subjects may seem irrelavant. But I need both to keep doing what I am doing..thank you.

I've had the screen thing before. They have two ways- quick recovery but less secure, slower recovery but more "durable". They did internal stitces on skin and it looked screwed up to begin with. Really stiff, and better hope you're not constipated the next day you hit the toilet.

In my case I could hear a squish sound when I shifted forth or back in seat. Like juice squishing around in there. It's "normal" amd went away after awhile.

You doing one of those time delays that cut out the gas when someone steals it?

never installed a switch but breaking power to ignition or fuel pump should be a piece of cake.

did have double hernia repaired about 7 or 8 yrs ago. only on pain meds for 2 days after, walking around camden aquarium less than a week later. was tired of pushing guts back in and it felt much better within a couple days.

because of the work we do i collected disability for 6 weeks, paid vacation was nice.:D

Sorry to hear about the hernia, hope you have a speedy recovery and remember; NO HEAVY LIFTING!!! Get a helper to tote your toolbag :) .

And if you break the pump negative wire and install a switch you should be good to go.

I think any kill switch protection is gonna disable the remote start I like to use this time of the year.I am searching mechanical protection means right now.
the surgeon says it's a 3 by 6 mesh possible to both sides meeting in the middle.he says no body can break his repair..?

I had the traditional surgery many years ago. Very painful first few days then after a day of percodan's I was good to go, perhaps prematurely cause it had to be redone 4 years ago. This time I got the mesh. I was ok with no pain at all as soon as the anesthesia wore off. No problems whatsoever, no discomfort at all. Returned to full duty, no restrictions 4 days later.

For the switch I have a reed switch hooked to a relay hidden in the cab to enable the gas. All I need to do is put a magnet in a spacial spot the relay pulls in and you have gas:D remove the magnet and by by gas. It has a payed for itself one time for me they made a mess of the steering column:mad: but ran away after they couldn't get it started they didn't even try to get into the tool bays.

Regarding the ignition kill switch it strikes me a bit strange that many of you have it in your service trucks. Are you all seeing this much theft of your trucks?
If so maybe the crime rate here is not nearly as bad as I thought it is.

ya, hide the switch:D i had 1 in miami (but not here in tennessee!)

hidden switch-relay-fuel pump

also i had that hernia procedure at 39 years old,

i am 44 now, the procedure worked well, same mesh as you are talking about

how did you get your inguinal hernia

i got mine by a coughing (coffing) ferenzy

.

Mount you a reed switch behind the dash somewhere hooked into the fuel pump relay. Have the reed switch power a special relay that has contacts that stay closed regardless of power to coil. That way you will have to have a magnet to start the car, but won't have to leave the magnet there once it is running since the conatcts will stay closed. Then use the magnet to kill it again. Sounds complicated and like a pain in da arse but it would be a puzzler to any mechanics or car thieves. Or you could just do something easier like the other fellas said.

OOPS! Guess we have the same idea! I should learn to read the other threads before I post my own I guess. :D

Or... you could install a Reed switch... :p :D

Another idea that doesn't seem too hard would be to break the wire that releases the shifter (when you press the brake pedal). Then your remote start will work, but a theif couldn't drive the van anywhere since they couldn't get it out of park.

would they force the shifter and damage it?
