At my local UR today, trying to get some replacement service valve caps for a inverter mini split condenser, the counter guy told me that he couldn't get them because they didn't deal with Sanyo anymore.
Now i know Panasonic acquired the entire company but had no idea of the ramifications of this up until now. i found some info on the discontinuation of their through the wall units but what about the other products like the Multi-flexi units (this especially sucks since i just put two of these units in my first home ).
this is really disheartening, i really found the sanyo units to be extremely solid and well built where as LG and Fujitsu really seem cheap and plastic-y :.02:. i'm actually kinda depressed over hearing this.....

Low Ambient

I'm not as well versed on Sanyo as some of the other brands (Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, Daikin, etc.), but I would say it's gonna vary depending on model and whether any low ambient controls are required or added.

Check the literature for the particular model you're considering or call tech support.

i just hope Panisonic doesn't do the typical large corporation move and abandon any and all Sanyo products currently out in the field. i still respect them, don't make me change my mind like Sony did.....

I tried to get a evaporator fan motor for a two ton system the other day. The UR counter guy told me that Panasonic took them over and scraped the whole manufacturing line. He told me to wait a few weeks, a company is being set up to provide after market parts for the 'old Sanyo systems' Bummer.
