Hello...I'm new here so hope I'm following the rules.

Assuming I want the high speed which is 1025 RPMs (a little more then the original 850)..........
You should really consult a contractor for this fan motor replacement to ensure the correct motor is installed, and wired properly.

The forum rules do not allow us to assist you with wiring this motor.

If you insist on going this alone, please reach out to a DIY forum for guidance.

Aside from a little more niose, is this an issue?
The motor will be overloaded, most likely causing cycling on the motor’s overload protector, reducing the life of the motor.

Remember the fan blade pitch is designed for the rpm of the motor.

Was the amp draw of the motor even measured after replacement?

1. Does that sound about right? Yes
2. How much would this shorten the motor life? Unknown, and not really measurable.
Would it last maybe one or two years? Possibly.
The bottom line is it is not what the manufacturer installed.

Also, if you haven't come across it in you readings, everything you want to know about motor characteristics and motor replacement can be found in the “Fasco Motor Fact” booklet.

It is an easy read talking about many aspects of motor efficiency, motor HP, motor poles, motor Speed ect….

Use your favorite search engine and download it.
