i've been proactive the last few months and started to put my resume out, our co. has flipped everything upside down in the past 6 month's from management change's to sending guys home without pay, cutting commission, if you work late one day the next you'll get sent home so they don't have to pay ot, it's been very cut throat and on edge of late, so i've interviewed with a few and then decided to apply with the local union, in 1 week i got a call from a very reputal union co. in the area, met with the manager and got the call today from him that they wanted me to join there team, i was extremely excited but i couldn't help thinking about if i leave where i am and being one of the top guys here and if sh** hits the fan at the new co. i'll be the first let go, thinking to myself nahhh i'll go in show um what i'm about and all will work out, i mean i've got 2 kids and another on the way so this move is very scary for me you know the unknowns and what ifs, but how can i turn down 36.87 hr. paid health, vision and dental, not to mention the retirement pension plan the union has to offer, so i put my 2 weeks in, i guess we'll find out what really this co. is all about, every interview i went on all painted a pretty picture, but i've heard good things about this one but like i said you 've gotta do it and see for yourself, as of now i'm esstatic about the opportunity and i feel that all the hard work, studying, researching and the daily hustle for the past 11 yrs. of my early career in this trade is finally paying off, and anyone looking to get into it, go for it the reward is definitely there, but you will have to earn it
