My friend has convinced me to give it a try next weekend. He grabbed a 23lb blue cat last weekend. Anyone else out there ever tried this sober?

I'm sorry but the idea of being anywhere near a fish as tall as me just doesn't fly... I'll be home on the couch or under my car this weekend if anyone needs me...

From what I was told, in the colder months you are less likely to run across snakes or big turtles. I don't know man, I love to fish but this might be going overboard. I might as well try it once in my life.

I was 15 teen when I tried it my friends told me about noodling I didn't believe it then they showed me then it was my turn when you do it you find out you aren't so bad & it will bring you down to earth they also told me about snakes & turtles. If you do it take some photos & post them.

Yes it did hurt!!

Never tried it but saw a good show on PBS about a few families that do it and have for generations. It looks crazy, dangerous, and fun. Thay say if you aint careful they will grab your hand and spin. I guess if they're big enough your wrist will be broken. I got snapped by a blue once removing a hook and it felt like it got hit with a hammer.

3 questions from a guy that grew up in the city

1. Is that a real fish

2. What is noodling?

3. Is noodling done with your pants off or on?

1. It looks real to me.

2. It's where you get into the water and reach into the cats den and pull him out by hand.

3. I guess it's up to you.

Yes they are but a little small for that area.

To catch a fish by hand.

No we are not that stupid your arm is the noodle not your little man that would be nuts or suicide.

How big did you think the fish would be?

Pants on. HA HA HA. Thet say that big cats lie right under boat ramps. They tend to keep their mouth open while they nest and what you do is reach in and grab them by their gills from the inside and pull them out. Those pics are from Europe I think. I saw them on a web site that goes into urban legends. The fish over there tend to be bigger from what I have read.
