Replacing 4 Trane unit with new 4 ton Trane System. Going with 14 seer Model.
Question is the condenser, evap coil and furnace compatible with each other? So i can achieve maximum seer advantaage@
I couldn't find AHRI code on ahri website!

All are Trane Model
MODEL# 4TTr4048l1000A (Conderser)
MODEL# 4TXCC007DS3HCA(Evap)
MODEL# S8B1B080M4PSAA (Furnace)

Did not see the S8B1B furnace combo that is a AHRI match, closet found with that indoor coil and OD unit was the above. Possibly just missed it thou..

Why not just ask the Contractor for the number?

https://accurateheatingcooling.com/newer-trane-80-furnace-model-number-description/

Gives nomenclature breakdown, says the B after S8 may mean that furnace may have a PSC motor.

Manufacturers stopped production of furnaces with PSC motors 3 July 2019. Not saying that’s a bad thing,

Again didn’t see the S8B furnace as a match for the last coil and same OD unit you posted. Who’s giving you these coil numbers? The bidding contractor? If so shouldn’t they know how to match equipment?

It’s nice your trying to get the maximum SEER and EER but those numbers are on paper, not real world. To me you need to bump up to the S8X or other model numbers to get matches if you want to get actual certified numbers.

I’ll gladly look up any other numbers you have to see if it’s a AHRI match...within reason

The contractor is giving me the number. I didn't even knew about AHRI etc before visiting this website today. The contractors gave me flat rate to install the whole system XR14 system. I thought the system was packaged together and everything was sold together. Didn't knew that you mix match stuff within the system!
What if I choose S9V2B080 as furnace?

The S8B1 is the builder 80% single stage. The S8X1 is the deluxe model with blower compartment insulation. Supports 2 stage outdoor units. Different door.

The S9V22 is a great furnace but pricey since it is a 96% with 2 stage heat and full variable speed motor.

It’s your decision, the S9V is the variable speed model, and as BaldLoonie mentioned 96% which means PVC flue piping typically side exhaust ( no chimney used ) adding $$ the other AHRI match the S8X is a constant torque ECM motor, chimney exhaust 80%. Guessing you live in the south? If so I would lean towards the simplistic 80% My :.02: worth..

Anybody know the price difference between S8B1B080M4PSAA vs SBX1.
If the S8B does have the PSC motor then the S8B should easily be cheaper as it’s a phased out model ( if having the PSC motor ) due to manufacturers stopped production of furnaces with PSC motors 3 July 2019. The S8X has the more energy efficient soft start ECM motor. Distributers probably would like to get rid of the ones they have. ( S8B )

Anybody know the price difference between
S8B1B080 M4PSAA vs S8X1.
Will an S8X be of significant value regarding YOUR Comfort level?

That ANYBODY = THE one and only Mechanical Contractor you will be selecting.
NOTE: WHOLESALE cost of a furnace is not the final cost.

NO $$$ discussions Here.
Installed Pricing Obviously Varies WITH REGION + contractor.
