We do have the SMAN2 that's about 100 bucks cheaper and does not come with a micron gauge.
That is a better choice since the clamps aren't that great either.
Fix the manifold and make it run on thermistor inputs please.
The temps are messed up around EMF just like my fluke k-probes.

I'm not happy with just about everyones clamps so take it how you want.
Most all clamps stink in the real world IMO.
I was using the new ones Russ.
Looked tough but Elstinko otherwise.
You could be right they may be less stinky than others but still stinky.

For anyone interested this was my experience with the Fieldpiece ATC1 Thermocouple Pipe Clamp vs the Cooper 4011 Thermistor Pipe Strap.

The Cooper 4011 is faster to react and I paid under 50 bucks for them

Is this ambient air temp?

Since our clamps were designed to measure copper pipes, they will take longer to adjust to ambient air temps. Air is one of the best insulators out there and does not conduct heat very well.

As long as you are doing this. Switch from the liquid line to the suction line and time how long it takes for each to stabilize. I've done that and the ATC1 is slow. Looks like a very thick robust sensor. You should put a standard on each pipe that is already stabilized so you know when the cooper and the ATC1 are stabilized.
Both were mounted next to each other on a round pipe at that room temp. I see no point in testing to even further extremes like 32Ëš-212Ëš since it will be even farther apart from actual. At any event water will not alway freeze or boil at those temps anyway. My daily sensors alway check out vs refrigerant saturation temps.

I have tested your beaded TC and is far better at taking measurements under the right conditions with out interference. BTW a ATA1 is one of my daily sensors but has no business being tied to a DMG IMO.
