Does merv 11 restrict airflow? Is it bad for the furnace? I get mixed answers on Google. Thank you.

Also, is Clean Comfort a good filter?

It depends on the blower capacity and the filter size.

Of course a good filter causes restriction of air flow. The idea is that size the filter to minimize the restriction. Suggest considering a merv 13 filter as worth using a slitghtly larger and thicker 4". The removal of dirt/pollen/mold spores in the home is well worth the small additional cost.

Make the case for not making this change.
