I was unsure at first about dumping that much money into a tool bag, but I am really glad I did. I actually got Veto's laptop bag, and keep all my meters on one side and hand tools on the other. Very well built. I'd upload pics if my camera was charged.

After looking at Veto's site (http://www.vetopropac.com/hvactechs), they say, "Now featuring a full selection of VETO PRO PAC bags For HVAC TECHNICIANS" but they only list 3 bags: LC, XL and OT-LC.

Is this what you are referring to? Or are they really coming out with something specific to HVACR soon? If you have any more information or links to this, I would certainly appreciate it.

Looking to buy my first real tool bag and Veto is by far the nicest I have seen.

I won't be laughed at being the FNG with the FNV ?

I have both the LC and the XL. I have the LC loaded for attics and crawls and the XL for everything else. I used to carry a 24 volt drill in the XL till it got so heavy I needed and handtruck to move it. :)

The truth

If you are doing service.

Go with the LC or the OT LC.

It is small enough to haul through a crawlspace or attic. You will find you can tailor it to meet your needs for the time of year you are in. There is room for a meter or two and a 12v driver.

I have the XL for installation and it is perfect for that job... but If I did more service it would be too big.

IMO

I have the xl. I keep my meter clamp on meter fluke 52 thermometer + 2 pipe clamp probes, my label printer plus all my hand tools in there with room to spare. But then agdon I work in markets so I use a shopping buggy to carry my tools around.
Just remember, you dint have to fill a large bag to capacity, but it's nice to have the room when you Need it.

I've had my Vito for about 8 months now, so far I think it's the best tool bag I've ever owned!!

Fwiw my apprentice has the lc he wishes he had bought the xl.
