Some thoughts:

- It's not possible to charge a mini-split correctly by simply looking at gauges or guessing. Charges have to be weighed in with an amount calculated by measuring the lines, etc. These are critical charge systems - it doesn't take much either way to cause a problem.

- It's a violation of the Clean Air Act to knowingly "dump" refrigerant out of system. Even "ozone friendly" gasses like R410A have to be recovered and disposed of properly.

- The correct fix for you is to recover the system, pull another vacuum, and weigh in the correct charge. Period.
