Heard a math question today that kinda messed with me, thought I'd share it.
Three people stay at a hotel for a night. The manager charges them 30 dollars for a single room. The three pay 10 dollars each.
Later the manager decides She has over charged the three and decides to give a refund of 5 dollars. The manager gives a housekeeper the 5 dollars with instructions to return it to the three tenants.
The housekeeper decides to keep two dollars for herself as a tip and give the three remaining dollars to the tenants instead.
Now the three tenant's have paid 9 dollars each for the room. 10 dollars each minus the 1 dollar each they were refunded . Multiplied by three this equals 27 dollars for rent.
The house keeper kept 2 dollars which brings the total up to 29 dollars.
The question is what happened to the 30th dollar.
I will post the answer later after ya'll have had a chance to figure on it a while.

Well ya'll figured it out, there is no missing dollar. The manager took 30 dollars rent and refunded 5 dollars. that makes 25 dollars rent. The housekeeper kept 2 dollars which makes 27 dollars and gave the tenants 3 dollars which makes 30 dollars. It's just asked in a way that there is no answer. And I guess your mind lock's into that way of thinking and can't see it from any other perspective. This goes to show that a fast thinking person could easily take me for a ride. And I'd still swear that I owed them money :)
Ya'll have a good one
