Had a Trane unit heater drive me nuts today. As basic as it gets. A t-stat, limit, fan delay(sequencer),inducer relay, and air switch. Checked continuity on all my wiring, and limit. 23.5v from hot to ground. 25v across secondary. Inducer relay won't energize. I have voltage across leads when disconnected, but show no voltage when they are connected to the coil.
Someone wired the fan delay coil off the transformer instead of the W1. T-stat was bad and I was reading phantom voltage because of the miswiring. The fact that the fan was energizing thru the delay on a call for heat threw me off.:gah::gah::gah:
