I need to replace a gas valve. It is a Honeywell VR8200C. I see different models. Is there a difference between VR8200C3005 / VR8200C1041 / VR8200C1124 / VR8200C1165 / VR8200C2132 ?

Or are they all compatible?

Thank you.

Yes there's a difference. Wouldn't be wise on Honeywell's part to make 5 separate valves that are all the same.

There are 4 units. All the same age. One needed to be replaced last year. I bought an extra to have on hand. My service provider just used it to replace one for a job of his own. I want to replace it and I'm being told that any VR8200C will work so I'm curious to know the (subtle?) differences in the valves before I buy it.

Subtle variations could be inlet/outlet size, flange/no flange, The C in your model# denotes the valve is step opening and the step settings could be different than your original valve. The OEM could have requested a special difference for their particular application.
