T-Stat: Honeywell T6 Pro Smart TH6320WF2003

Heat Pump: 5HPL5036 (2 speed)

Air handler: 5TEM6D04AV31SA

The installation was finished yesterday. It was very frustrating for both the homeowner and the HVAC company.

Please correct me if I am wrong but I don’t think there is any indication on the T-stat when either the second stage of the heat pump or the aux heat is engaged. Emergency heat shows but nor the aux?

So how would I ensure that the second stage in either cooling or heating engages? Is it as simple as standing by the outside unit and adjusting the t-stat setting by 3 or 4 degrees and see if it speeds up or gets louder?

I am considering replacing the T6 with my original VisonPro 8000 TH8320U1008 that was used on the old system. Good idea or bad? I don't care about the wifi.

Was the "User Guide" for the thermostat left with you?

Go into the Menu to see "equipment status" - see attachment.

Thank you! No comments on putting the old T-stat back (assuming the local hardware store has two little screws for the wires)? The old t-stat displayed the outside temperature. I'd rather have that than wifi.
