Jabra Elite 3's are my new go to.

And they filter out heavy background noise? I'm sceptical!

After owning perhaps 10-15 different Bluetooth headset designs, I have found that headsets lacking a boom mic don't pick up the users voice as well, and don't tend to isolate said voice either, resulting in increased background noise.

Consequently I suffer though looking like a Time-life operator.
I was shocked how well people on the other end can hear me while in a loud environment. They work really well. They also have an Elite 3 ACTIVE which has ANC. I’ve heard it does improve things on the users end pretty good. But just the passive noise canceling from the ear tips seal is good enough for me and I’ve never had an issue hearing in the loudest of mechanical rooms. The Active model gets one hour less of run time. But I think you can turn the ANC off and just use it when you really need it. But I think the Active gets 6 hours of actual use on a charge. And you get the case you can leave in your pocket which recharges the buds when you’re not using them.

I used to use the Jabra T series which had been out for years. But prefer the Elites. They are smaller and fit in the ears better. At least for me. But what I HATED about the T series buds is you can only use the left bud by itself. The left bud connects to your phone and the right bud connects to the left bud. So you can’t just the right bud by itself. I usually only use one bud at a time unless there is a lot of background noise. So if(when) you loose the left bud which is an unstoppable rule of the universe, the set is worthless. With the Elites, when you loose the left you can just use the right bud by itself. Until you eventually loose that one, that is.

But yes. To your question, people often commented how loud and clear I sounded even in loud rooms or driving down the highway. Bigger high quality sets with boom mics might be a touch better, but I’ve never had to leave a loud mechanical room because the person on the other end couldn’t hear me.

Try them out. They are under $80 and actually right now Amazon has the blue set for $43! If you don’t like them, send them back. If you do and they work well in your environments, you will like them much more than a big, bulky set with boom mics and contraptions that wrap around the back of your ear.
