Have any of you pro's dealt with GREE mini-split systems much? None of my local suppliers have even heard of them, yet they are supposedly the "most used ac in the WORLD". The price SEEMS too good to be true, yet they have a great warranty period (5 year parts, 7 year compressor). However, what good is a warranty if they don't honor it?

Can anyone shed some light on this brand's mini-splits? Good? Bad? Do they honor the warranty?


I was going to buy a Mitsubishi but I was told they don't honor the warranty if purchased online....any truth to this?

Just like with every reputable mini split, installation needs to be done precisely according to MFG instructions. So this means if your contractor has never done a mini split, find another. Gree does make a great mini split. If you are unsure about Gree, you can never go wrong with Mitsubishi or Fujitsu

I have installed serval gree mini splits with 0 problems. Matter of fact installing one today for homeowner that wants his master bedroom at a certain temp and didn't want to invest in upgrading existing hvac split system and ductwork to achive for price reasons.

We get are mini splits from a local Gemaire supply house and if there is every a warranty claim I no they honer it. We do a lot of bussiness with them and they always take care of us.
