Goodman air handlers AWUF310816AA. I have been tasked with figuring out what the problem is with the blower motors on several units. There are multiple units in an apartment complex with the same symptoms. The blowers constantly ramp up and down causing a surging effect. These are all on 1.5 and 2 ton applications. There is not a duct problem or return issue. I suspected poor grounding so I have checked that the transformer, power in from the panel and motor are all grounded properly. I don't have a lot of faith in the electrical contractor that did the job due to numerous mistakes. (one of which almost killed one of my techs) So I am not ruling out that the whole apartment panel is not grounded properly. But, before I open that can of worms, I wanted to throw this out there for some feedback. Has anyone else had EEM blower problems with the Goodman units?
