Don't worry about running the indoor fan continuously, it won't hurt it, and will probably run like that for a year or so (not that I'd wait that long). As for the Goodman thing...they are as good as any other brand so just get a good company to install it. I'd also recommend looking at the Amana brand cause the same company can usually sell both brands with Amana as their "premium" brand. Don't be fooled into thinking that the amount a company spends on national advertising has any relation to their equipment quality....it doesn't. It does have a huge effect on their average sale price to the consumer though...more ads, more money needed to buy the ads. A lot of HVAC companies lose huge amounts of business to companies selling Goodman/Amana products, and therefore the resentment often expressed on boards such as these. As for the company sponsered rebates, the cost of these company rebates are usually hidden in the cost of the equipment. When the car companies jumped on the "rebate" bandwagon, did you see the price of cars go up or down?? These rebates are only offered through "participating" contractors, been there and know how that works....we pay part of the rebate along with the equipment company, so the rebated equipment price to the consumer must go up!!! And the larger rebates are only offered on the top of the line (and most expensive) equipment. Also double check what the warranty is on the equipment and make sure the optional 10 yr. labor warranty is included.:.02:
