I don't recall seeing allergy free or anything of that sort on the filter, I just want to stop viruses from circulating and saw MERV 13 is for use in hospitals. I did not realize that my furnace/duct work cannot handle it.

babies get sick is normal, esp at daycares, there is no way around it.

Thanks for the correction, I guess it was too naive in thinking the furnace can act as a air purifier as well since it is cycling the air. I will look into whole house air purifiers.

and where did you read this?

We use 12" HEPA at this facility.
