This morning I was checking a new installation with a brand new 6T Trane Precedent (gas heat / DX cool inverter). I had been running it the prior evening to test cooling mode. When I inspected it this morning, I found approximately 3-4oz of clear / light yellow oil substance in the condensate pan and trap.
The unit was leak tested prior to installation so I doubt this is due to leaking pipe circuitry. I believe it is probably some sort of assembly lubricant used during the coil manufacture that begun to wash off in cooling mode.
Has anybody experienced or come across this before?
