Hi All. Long time/ first time. I have a question about a dual duct control scheme from one of my buildings. The setup is a dual duct with separate actuators for hot and cold decks and a hot water coil on the end. Controller on it is an AMA-VAV. Building system setup is single chiller going to the cold deck, boiler for the hot water coils, and (the fun one) hot deck using filtered return air then injecting steam into the duct from a Carel humidifier.
My question is how would you run this setup?
Started digging in and it's all kinds of questionable practices. First box I looked at had the controller on the hot deck side but schemed as "cool w/ reheat" so it thinks the side it's connected to is the cold deck. K4/K5 hooked to the cold deck but running in manual off the wiresheet in Niagara trying to maintain CFMs, not temperature. Oh, and the reheat is hooked to K2 but the actuator's looking for 0-10vdc for command. Really hoping I just stumbled upon a butcher job and the whole place isn't this bad.
But back to the original question, with this mechanical setup, how would you control the spaces?
