Ok, they got done over a week ago, but I've been busy.
I know my installer posts / reads here, so...
2 zone 4 ton XM16i. Heating 3200+ sqft (like the sqft matters)
The first floor supply runs through the unconditioned basement. Its becoming my new wood shop, so I didn't want to ruin this with dust. Return runs throuh a line of closets.
2nd floor goes up through a closet to the attic and comes back down.
Some required shots:
Before stat:
And they (10+ of them) controled:
With a 15 month old... So off the wife goes for a week...
She took the camera with her, so I don't have any shots of what happened then.
So after a week:
I can't say enough how huge the 18" runs for the 2nd floor looked...
Now I do have to do a little shoe squeezing... I came home from work to find:
You see, the wife and 15 month old had come home the day before. The yahoo doing the electric (me) had pulled out all but two of the baseboard circuits when the lines for the heat pump got installed. So I was in hot water. I've never been so happy to have strip heat on one floor. I was so happy to see they hacked something together for the night... Saved my bacon.
Final wrapped:
Stat:
No picts of the outdoor unit, its dark out, and I'm cozy in the house. I'll get them tomorrow since I've got to wait for the electrical inspector.
I'd like to thank everyone who shared advice and comments with me and the other HO's. I learned a lot, both about the business and HVAC tech. Now I've got to convince my FIL to not take a per sqft bid on his new place.
