Any of you guys know of a good adhesive tape or Velcro to use on the dashboard? I keep some bags taped up for storage, stuff like pens, Bluetooth, tire gauge, things like that. I've tried everything from the hard plastic stuff grainger sells to the regular sticky Velcro from Walmart. Everything sticks for a month or so then looses its sticky and falls off. And I hate to drill holes in the dash for mechanical fasteners.

I ran into the same issue trying to velcro my phone to my dashboard. The velcro wouldn't stick to it very well. The solution I came up with that worked pretty well was to heat up the dashboard before sticking the velcro onto it.

Disclaimer... please be careful! Don't get mad at me if you burn your truck down.

What I did was I took out my map gas torch and held it way back and carefully heated up the area for a few seconds, then I stuck the velcro onto it. A heat gun would probably be safer and better, but you still need to hold it back a ways to keep from melting anything. My results were good. The heat made the velcro stick much better.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that when I get home (without the oxy torch)

I've found "Shoe Goo" sticks to damm near anything. Wipe the spot with an alcohol rag first and then use Shoe Goo to glue anything you want to it. Available at most better hardware stores. Comes in black and clear

I suggest 3M double sided adhesive foam. My GPS has been on the windshield for a year with the stuff. Comes In a roll for about half dozen clams. Insure both surfaces solvent clean. I found works best when surfaces flat to each other (no round to flat).
