Looked at a house with mold issues in the crawl space. Crawl space about 30'x 30', 3' high. No plastic on ground, no vents, has supply and return duct going through it, acess opening to allow conditioned air into it, and a sump pump. Pump failed at some point and now have mold problems. This is in a colder climate.
Would laying plastic down and putting in a air exchanger be a good idea. The stale air intake would be at the back of the crawl space and the fresh air would go into the return duct. I thought this would also help with pipes from freezing in there, which has happened in the past.
