COVID and HVAC Filters?

My brother would probably laugh at the thought it is mild.

That said he caught it again and was over it in two days.

Same as me when I got it. 1 day.

It was definitely worse when it all first started and I guess we have built up immunity to it, I don’t know. The whole thing was pretty wild there for a while. It’s weird how it affected some people so severely and some didn’t even know they were sick.

I think at this point either the virus has weakened, we’ve built up immunity or probably both because it doesn’t seem to be nearly as severe as it was.

Hope your brother doesn’t have any long term damage from a severe case of it. My secretary hasn’t been the same since she got Covid a few years ago. Of course she’s in her late 70s but she went from pretty healthy to being a type 1 diabetic and acute liver failure after having Covid. It could have be coincidence and all the health problems were going to start happening anyway but her health started going downhill slow and steady since she got Covid.

IMO... best air filter ever made...
I suspect AA discontinued it...
Because everyone and their uncle were selling replacement media cheap.

IMO the 313 and 413 are decent filters...
However the 201 and 401 are still the best!
I agree, it’s a great filter. The combs are brittle but I’ve scavenged enough of them from changeouts that I’m good on them.

I use the Honeywell F100 cabinets now, have been for about 10 years. Not as good of a filter as the Aprilaire but readily available and still much better than 1” filters.

Yes I haven’t had any jabs and never wore masks, hardly even knew I had anything. My wife got the jab and was much sicker but still not bad. Here it’s back to normal.
All of the times any of us had it, it was much milder than anyone of us having the flu.

Everything is back to normal here as well.

Wife had it last week and even though she still tested positive she was able to go back to work on day 5. Nobody else in the family has had it in over 18 months.

No worse than a cold, not as bad as the flu. Had it and barely had a runny nose. Question is did most wear masks, keep 6’ distance, and fear colds like this? I didn’t and won’t. The first (Delta) was the worst, the one now Omicron I think is nothing imo. Close to voting time it will suddenly become an emergency again.
My wife is a nurse and got the jab and has had it 7 times now, my oldest son has had it 2 times and me, my middle and youngest have had it 1 time and none of us got the jab. We don’t change the way we live any more than we do when anyone in the house is sick with strep, flu etc.

I have an Aprilaire 201 space guard Merv 10 and haven’t changed it in 17 months, that reminds me I need to grab one soon and change it.
