So me and my fiance bought a house a year ago this august. When we first moved in, some of the neighbors came to introduce themselves, and one mentioned how if we saw any "tuxedo" cats, they were hers and not to take them. WELL, here we are almost a year later and the cat population has tripled in our neighborhood. Cats are always in my yard, it smells like piss, and most are pregnant about to have babies. Yesterday a stray kitten (teeny tiny) was lost in my flowerbed meowing for help. I rescude it and went up and down the street looking for a possible owner. No one would own up to whether or not it was theirs. I finally found a lady that would take it, but i'm fed up. Food bowls are on 3 of my neighbors porches, and none of them will take responsibility. I have 2 dogs, and the cats make them bark and keep me up sometimes at night. Should I call animal control? My fiance has already tried the bbgun method. They just keep coming back! Help!
