I’ve been searching for a few days to try to find an answer to this question. We just bought a house with a Bryant system (model # below). It had a Bryant thermostat that appeared to be wired as a normal (Rc, W, Y, G, C wires) 1 cycle heat/cool letting the furnace control staging, I believe. I’ve replaced with an ecobee premium thermostat to get more visibility and remote control. My question is are we loosing any efficiency control with the ecobee thermostat? I don’t see anywhere in the documentation that says a Bryant thermostat is required, and can’t seem to find definitive answers to this on any sites either.
