I use this stuff on my pliers and mighty lader to make them slide smoothly without any possibility of getting it on my hands and staining a nice white thermostat or something. It goes on like water and the solvent evaporates and leaves behind a wax layer.

I did discover one thing I recommend using this when it's warm out when it's cold you squirt this stuff on a cold surface and it gels which is not optimal for having it work its way into tight gaps. I'd recommend 75° or warmer.

Define greasy. Tri Flow lubricant is good from -60* to 475*
This will not get on your hands once the solvent evaporates. It is amazing for making mighty laders non frustrating and for lubing pliers. It's not the right thing to use when you need serious lubrication but it sure does make things slide a little better.

Oh hahaha now I see it says wax film right on the bottle

I figured they’d try and keep it a secret.
It's wax and some incredibly nasty solvents. It's not the world's greatest chain lube according to the local bicycle experts but it's an amazing loop for a lot of tools and such. The reason I started looking for a better lube for my tools was because I have too often installed a new thermostat only to notice afterwards that I left black fingerprints on it and then I have to go try to figure out how to clean them off so I figured I need to keep my tools a little cleaner and less greasy.

I take it you bought it at a bicycle shop.
Exactly what I’ve been looking for for quite awhile. Thanks for posting
No the bicycle shop says it's no good and won't sell it but they had it for a while at Walmart then they quit selling it so now I order it off amazon.

Better be sure those nasty solvents don’t ruin the plastic.

I’ve had cases where I used silicone spray on plastic but the solvents ruined the plastic even though silicone is best for plastic. Then WD40 which isn’t the best for plastic ended up being better than the silicone spray lol.
Yeah I would not recommend it on plastic the solvents in it are pretty nasty I imagine they would probably dissolve it. I'd be tempted to use Teflon powder which I have a little bag of.

What about a graphite type lubricant.
I try to avoid graphite unless it's the only good option like for locks because it stains everything.

I can’t be the only one that saw “clean ride, for riding in dry conditions “ and went south am I?

My wife opened the Amazon package and saw a bottle of lube and got excited.

Actually Tri Flow makes a dry lube that sounds just like this stuff.
