The smell could possibly be coming from your u.v light,sometimes they put out a odd smell.Also could be dirty sock syndrome,commonly described as a wet dog smell,if that is the case,the coil will need to be cleaned with a anti bacterial cleaner,sometimes that does'nt cure it ,you have to replace the coil.I have also never known of anyone using lysol,however I have known of using bleach to cure the problem.
