Just did my first BACnet SC this week. The hub was in the cloud AWS, so the sites local panels did not need any port forwarding because the connection is outgoing. The SC hub had a sub domain URL that the SC panels connected to. Was expecting a mess in getting this going but all in all not that bad. Did self signed certificates and not a CA. Not sure how this is going to play out with other vendors.

Traffic at the site is still normal BACnet/IP so system keeps running normal. It’s just the traffic to the Webserver that would be effected. I have a locally installed webserver on-site as backup right now as we do testing.

This was an ALC Cloud install. Manuals were lacking but tech support was great. I’m not a Niagara guy so not sure there.
