What do folks consider best practices to properly clean/purge gauge sets to avoid cross contamination when working on systems with different refrigerants?

More specifically, I typically work on small systems with 404A. I now have one with 134A I need to service/replace the compressor.

Would I need to do anything differently if the refrigerants were R22 or 410A?

Thanks
