I guess that was quite an open ended question I just never checked the output of one dureing start ups or testing systems where you may need to cycle the system.

I've removed a few lol funny thing on some of the older equipment its hard to find a match I forget what the variance on them is that you can go but if you change it to much its very bad for the comp.

But I'm still looking for someone who has had one year experiece or so with these operating in the field. According to the law of physics this device or any device is going to have to pay a price somewhere along the line with the balance between Volts, Amps and resistance.

I hesitate to recommend this to this customer who has 16 old Carrier heat pumps that are still working. I would like to see some long term operation without failures and positive results.
they have been on equipment for years. do they make the equipment last longer, that's hard to say ive replaced them on old equipment and ive seen them one the same aged equipment that i've ripped out. i believe in your research you found that they are beneficial to the motors they are on making them a little more efficient . so i don;t think installing one on a 16 year old comp. is its saving grace but it can't hurt. Long term results i just replaced on on a geo the other week i think it was 18 years old or 17
