Yep. 3-4 times a week.

Got really heavy a few years ago, finally got sick of it and I started dieting and working out. Dropped 50 lbs in 6 months.

Then I developed inguinal hernias on both sides. Had surgery and it took me out of the gym for awhile, had trouble getting started again and I gained some of the weight back. Been back at it about a year now and only have 10 lbs to go. I've added a lot of muscle along the way and I feel great.

yup, juss got motivated enough to get back in after a few years
last summer was hell in the attics of south Louisiana

now I'm trying to get swoled up again

Is it hard to maintain a Attainable workout schedule doing the work that we do [if your in the feild].
How do you approach your workout if you really had a rough day at work?

I like to watch areobics or yoga or even those girls on the eliptical trainer. No problem.

Actually my wife runs a bunch on the treadmill. I have learned from her that exhaustion is largely mental. If you go and do some working out you are going to feel much better over time. Your first few days can be hell though. But it makes those harder days at work less harder. If some skinny guy in tights can do an ironman triathalon, I oughta be able to jog a couple miles or bench some weight. Makes my toolbag lighter too!

I worked out this morning ... I lifted a donut from the counter to my mouth, back to the counter then, back to my mouth, back to the counter, back to my mouth, this went on for at least five minutes ... I need a coffee ...:D ... luckily I got one at the same time as the donut ...:D

If i get it out of the way early enough it is better. actually gets me going first thing in the morning.
Sometimes working though is more of a workout than working out.

It takes some discipline for sure. But working out is a great stress reliever, not to mention the physical benefits. I feel much better, more energy, I sleep better, more positive outlook, helps keep blood pressure down, lots of good things come of it.

Exercise, especially lifting weights and vigorous cardio, naturally increases testosterone production in men. That can be good for the home life too....if you get my drift.

As someone mentioned above, it becomes an integral part of your life that you don't want to do without.

The big thing is to not hurt yourself. If you're older of have high BP/heart issues, definitely check with a doctor first. Working out doesn't mean you have to lift a bazillion lbs like the neanderthals in the gym. That's just if you want to look like Ah-nold did in his day. For general health and fitness, moderate weights combines with cardio exercise is great. I'm 51 and I feel better than I did in my 30's.

I have a tread mill in tv room and an excercise ball.

I don't run anymore I just walk at a fast pace being I started realizing it seemed to be harder on the joints jaring them by running. I think running would just speed up having to have joints replaced.

I make it a rule that who ever is on the computor ..... loses control of tv remote

If girlfriend is on computor I either walk on treadmill or use the excersize ball while watching tv.

I use to mainly use the treadmill but sense I started using the excersise ball I have found its keeps my interest up more being there are so many differant things to do with it that I can work on my stomach muscles. Even if you use it like a chair contantly leaning back doing partial set ups.

Another fun one is just getting on the ball and trying to balance yourself on your hands and knees while watching
tv. You just spend the whole time that your wasting watch tv getting a workout too.

The girlfriend use to do the treadmill and bike with me too but in the last 2-3 years , she has pretty much given it up on much of anything to do with getting excersize. I can see where her health is starting to go down hill as far as achs and pains and always being sick in some way or another. Like she told me last night ....... if we were on biggest loser I would be the motivated one so she would have to be the one in the pair that would agree to go home. I told her she would never want to stay being there would be no beer or poker machines :D

You would have to watch the show to understand the last coment  Oh and no I'm not as big as those people but its sure a motivator. :)

I enjoy watchin the BIGGEST LOSER so when thats on Its a piece of cake being motivated to excersize. The new show started last night and yes I was getting my workout watching it.

I use to think I got enough of a workout from working daily. NOPE thats a total differant type of workout and even tho your constantly moving and lifting stuff ..... its not enough.

Works for me :D

I got Wii fit for the wife at Christmas and use it every morning. It says I'm Obese! I don't know if it will help shed some pounds, but I've been using it every morning and doing the Hula Hoops has really helped my lower back pain plus it gets me going for the day.

I am starting to get back into the whole fitness thing. I am not getting any younger, and I am damn sure am getting heavier. I figure about 80-90 pounds in I need to drop in the next 2 years. And I will be ok. Just will have to work to keep it down. Since i will be 30 than and it will only be harder.
Four years ago I was 202 lbs. now well lets say I am alot more than that now

I am typically cynical about things like that, but from what I've seen the wii fit may actually work. And by making exercise fun it will get used where normal equipment doesn't.

After workiing out religously for 10 yrs, I finally got back into it almost 3 yrs ago. I am at the gym by 5:00 AM & out the door at 6:45 AM...ready to kick the world's A$$.
