Amigo, nah, I understand and you are right. I work for a controls contractor and we used to be an Authorized Alerton Sub-Dealer. I have a site that still has Alerton IBEX with the BACTalk Gateways that we need to connect to to make some changes. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Hello,
I am an IT Guy that has been tasked with replacing a PC that uses Envision BACTalk V1.3. I am using a new Windows 7 Pro 64bit notebook with VMware to run a virtual Windows XP PC. My problem is that the HVAC guy has given me a unreadable copy of BACTalk V1.3 to install on it, but the disk is scratched so badly that it has files on it that are giving me CRC errors. Does anyone have a copy of known if I can download a working copy of BACTalk V1.3. I am currently in possession of the factory CD that is useless. I also have the USB security dongle. So all I need is the software to install.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have contacted my contact to see if they have another copy, but it took them weeks to find this copy so I decided to search around the internet and ran across this site. My end goal is to get this thing running and move on with my life. Thanks in advance.

Jeff

PS: If you have a copy I am able to send a secured email link that will allow you to upload any size file to me thru Citrix Sharefile.

I'm in the same boat with a crashed laptop. We have one laptop that was setup with backtalk on it for one building and it crashed. We don't even have backup of the files so I wanted to see if anyone can help me out with the interface software so I can hit the building controllers.

I'm an IT guy for a public school district. I got a call from our HVAC guy earlier this week letting me know that he couldn't access the Envision software remotely. When I went across the hall and checked out the 2003-era server that hosts the software, it was stuck in a reboot loop and making a horrible grinding noise. Low and behold, it's hard drive had failed. Fortunately, regular backups means that the data isn't lost, but the Envision software needs to be reinstalled on the new machine.

According to the Facilities Manager, the original equipment installer no longer supports the software, and I've already torn through filing cabinets looking for a CD. I've scavenged the internet looking for a copy, but this forum seems to be my only option. Thanks in advanced for any help!

Hi

I'm a Building Integrator that has been tasked with replacing a PC that uses Envision BACTalk V3.2 because the Hard Drive and the Power Supply of the Workstation was damaged. Does anyone have a copy of BACTalk V3.2. The previous integrator was fired and left no copies of the installation software Thanks in advance.
I can send you the software but Envision 3.0 and above needs a license key which binds to the host-id of the PC. If you still have the license details and PO you can ask Alerton to send you a replacement key.

Hi, I had my Hard Drive and Ram stolen from my PC on the Job site and need help to get the Software put on a new PC. I am not sure what version I had and the only information I can find says that the software was installed 9 years ago. I was told by the property manager that there was a USB with the license and software that could be reloaded but the USB is also gone. Any help or suggestion is appreciated!
