Hi,
I bought a house and this is its first summer. The AC seems to be working fine at night but during the day when it is over 90, it will not maintain the room setpoint temperature. I have clenaed the outdoor unit, A coil but problem still persist. I asked a AC guy come and he said the pressure is a little too high and saw some dye when he released the R410A. so he suspect the refrigerant might be the problem, maybe the last guy put in the wrong refrigerant... But i dont want to spend 600 bucks to vaccum and rechcarge and found out it still have the same problem.
During the day when it is not cooling, the refrigerant supply line is 80F, and return is at about the same temeprature. I checked the attic, there is no obvious duct leakage or disconnect. So I suspect there are some bypass going on that prevent the compressor to work? When the AC guy came, he did see the pressure so the compressor is working, but the refrigerant is not cold...
