2 heat. My advise... Please don't listen to the sarcastic remarks. There are really good people here that offer great advice. The lineset decision should be based on quite a few factors. The first one that has not been mentioned is that this is a 22 yr old lennox unit being replaced. Correct? Lennox used to use their liquid line as a metering device. It looks like 1/4 inch tubing and you may find it coiled as you could not alter its length. In this case it must be changed. Secondly; Always go by the manufacturers instructions. Take the advise from your distributor. This way if something is wrong, you have them to fall back on. If this is going to be converted to 410...replace the lineset. There could be residual pockets with pools of old 22 yr old mineral oil. R22 and hard to change the lineset? I would stay with the old lineset if it is going to be very hard to change...and consider the man recom...and not 1/4 metering liquid line.

Sorry did not recognize that you are talking about your own. This was in the pro sect. Well I would say to find a good contractor and use his insight compare it with the info you get from here and make a decision.
