I have a 4 year old A/C and was services less than a year ago. The coils are clean in the furnace and a/c. It has been reaching around 110 degrees lately. I have the temp set to 76 degrees. During the day when it is the hottest, my inside temp goes up to 78. The A/C seems to be running fine, but I don't ever remember my A/C not being able to stay at the temp that I set it at. BTW: My filters are changed every 3 month and I just replaced them a few weeks ago. They are MERV8 filters. The service company that I use is highly recommended. I asked if he cleans the coils with chemicals, he said no just water because the newer manufactures recommend it. He said that the chemicals always leave stuff behind even after you spray them down. Just wondering if it seems like my A/C is running correctly. I saw online that they are designed to cool homes down around 20 degrees.
Any thoughts?
