Liebert does say in the Deluxe System 3 book that you can change out the variable pitch to a fixed pitch pulley, which i would recommend! With the Liebert belts and fixed pitch pulleys everything lasts a lot longer and ailigning is so much easier. Also i the easist way i have found to ailign pulleys are to use the Belthog system they fit in the grooves and shoot a laser, they work great. Also my Email is in my profile i can send you a cross-referance sheet that takes the guesswork out of the convertion to fixed, You take the sixe of the sheave and how may turns it is out and use this chart it will tell you what the fixed size is.
