Same numbers last night, if the site was a little faster it would have been a new record yesterday, for some reason the site takes fits where it slows down.

How about we each chip in 50 bucks

Were at 299, quick Rob post some pics and maybe we will hit the record

seriously, 300 shouldnt be much of a load for a decent server setup, another forum Im on has over 2000 on right now, with a record of 4400

We did it!!

The most users ever on HVAC-Talk at once was 311 on 01-23-2006 at 09:57 PM.

We'll look into this again tomorrow. The 300+ users isn't the problem, and we have a pretty sophisticated server setup so I don't think it's that either.

We may have to prune some of the older messages, since this forum wasn't meant to hold 1 million posts, 40K members, etc. We'll keep most of the useful info, but I think the older messages on the General will have to go. Perhaps we can archive it and have it available for download for those who like to relive the old times.

Sorry for the delay in some of the upgrades we were considering. I can hopefully provide a clearer schedule in the next few weeks.

Boy I can think of lots of threads that could be deleated being they say a whole lot of nothing. Just think of how many are DYI's asking how yo fix their furnace and 20 people tell him this is not a dyi site?

or look at what I just wrote ........now is that wasting space or is that wasting space? lol
