I was sent here from one of the "girls in skirts" to do a SURVEY of equipment.
After I meet with the mngmnt and get to talking. He's talking about the unit NOT COOLING.
Wait a sec... I'm there only for a SURVEY.
I asked if he wanted it diagnosed. And if the girl let him know the CHARGES?
He said "...no. She said it was no charge to check them out." And that another co had replaced the compressor (again) and it was not cooling like 1 week after the last compressor.
WTF??????? So I said I'd pull the panels and do a VISUAL check (a survey) and see if that gives me any ideas. I had a feeling deep down that a VISUAL would all be that's needed to get an idea...
So first things first. There's is only the BEST up here. A GOODMAN and this GOETTL that should be put to sleep.
Not too mention the 6/12 roof pitch in a area that NEVER snows
Yup. Brand stinkin new compressor.
-No filter dryer. What so ever.
-No schrader caps to be found.
I told him the unit was well worn. And that first thing would be a recovery of the refer the HACK left in there. Installing a FILTER/DRYER.
A DEEP vacuum. I figure there is no way he had the care to pull a vacuum if he didn't install a filter.
OH yeah. A piece of inso was sucked up to the blower. It probably froze up.
There was also NO filters on either system. I told him it would need chemical coil cleanings too.
Gave him quotes for what he said he'd need to give to the OWNER of the building.
Doubt I'll be back. But if I do get called back. They better NOT have me only do half of the repairs. And our office better NOT give them coupons for repairs or cut down my quotes. I HATE that shit!
No one seems to get it when I say to BID HIGH or WALK from piece of shit accounts!!! DAMN!
