Im in the north dallas area (lewisville) and would be willing to pay you for your time if you would help on the weekend with a project I am doing for two reasons... self-education and to help my wife in our very small store.

I have two refrigeration projects (walkin and meat case) that i need help on.

I hope this is not a bad area to ask. Apologizies if it is.

Regards,
Mark

I tried to figure out how answer this a dozen times, but simply could not find the words...

I think SWAT has already answered adequately.

I started to offer but realized that the individual is not a full time HVAC contractor so I retracted. I would say if you are in over your head do 1 of 2 things:

A. call a refrigeration contractor and ask them to run the call to get you out of your troubles and explain you will be asking for education at the same time

or

B. Call the supply house who you managed to get this stuff from and see if they may have some one who can give you a hand with some specific questions you have.

Let me know. I'll do it. Just contact me via the red dog house, beneath the sig file.

By the way, your URL does not work. Either that or your site is down when I attempted to visit.

Ain't Irony a funny thing ;)

The problem I have had is not so much that I'm too dumb or over my head, it is that I really do want to learn but no one is willing to mentor, I am interested in this as a career change. I grew up greasy in my dad's shop, so Im mechanically inclined, even have common sense [how many of you have work with or behind someone who didn't have that...], know my way around tools, have invested in the tools and basics, even considering school.

At any rate, all jokes aside, i'll contact r12 if he's serious and maybe we can get together over a iced tea and talk about it.

He would definitely be a great fit for you.

If you are serious about getting into the field. I have a few positions open and you are more than welcome to come see me but you have to cut out the side work and work for us full time.

I also do a Tuesday morning class in Lewisville from 6:30 - 7:30 and it is about basice refrigeration and HVAC. I bring breakfast and if you care to come you bring you.

My contact info is in the profile.
