looking for work in PHX., AZ.

I have just graduated from school and am looking for work in the HVAC field (residential side preferred). I have been looking for two weeks and have not gotten a bite any ideas as to how to get a foot in the door? I am willing to work any hours, I am punctual, honest and dependable my only issue is that i have very little work related experience in this field but I just gratuated from RSI and graduated second in my class. Any ideas would be appreciateded.

I would also like to add that I have found this forum informative and helpful in the past, keep up the good work.

See if you can get PaysonHVAC's attention. He's the originator of the post in the "Wall of Shame" section entitled "Goodman Country; My Daily Log of Goodman Failures!" He might be able to give you some direction, as he works in the Phoenix area. And it sounds like he could use a helper for all the calls he runs to "Goodman Country". :D

Hopefully you guys didn't get too carried away at the Monestary 2 afterwards ;)

Call and check with Service America. They are an excellent company to start for, they have a very good tool program, bennies are decent, it's a non-union shop. They do TONS of training. The pay isn't the best, but you get a ton of training out of it. It's mostly residential which is what you said you were looking for.

I'm off to study for Bill's mid-term on low-temp.. GO ME! (Due to Graduate RSI in September ;))

Hi and thanks for those that responded. I found a job last week it started 6-21-04 it is for RTB Mechanical in Mesa, They do installs and start ups mostly. This is the first time I have sat down in the last week to check any responses and read my e-mails been real busy. I didn't realize how difficult this type of work is, hauling all your tools (never knowing what to expect so you always bring more then you need) up flights of stairs to work in the sun for 5-6 hrs at a time and then haul everything back down to the vehicle and then police your work area for trash. I am hoping to get some good experience and move up guickly, we wil see wheren this takes me for the next two or three months. Again I say to you all thanks for the good advice and keep up the good job.

By the way icegueen72 we all went to McDuffy's on 83rd and Bell area we had a good time. It was a last minute location change. Almost the whole class showed up we all took our spouses and drank and ate a lot.

Glad you guys had fun though, that's what matters. Congrats on the job!

It's doubtful I'll be able to have hubby go to anything we decide to do since he's in the field at Goettl and works long hard hours. But I'll go, thats for sure, unless I'm in the field by then of course, which I'm hoping to be. ;) Enjoy and learn lots!

well Jane?

Lets just say , we talked before, and you wanted more, than what you wanted to offer!, and to top it off, i had another issue of privacy that had no bearing in any way of a direct relationship to working for your company! that is strictly none of your business! nor any other corporate america's ideolgies of disregard for the privacy rights of an individual's fundemental rights! Lets just leave it at that!
