Master Bilt- model# tuf 27-no serial info- 404a ref. Compressor info(from comp on top of unit, model# -kajb-007e-1aa-800, serial# -07c612o8r-. Compressor# on tag on back of box-kaab-007e-caa. I went with info on compressor. FLA=10, set cpr valve at 10.1 amps. txv body freezing and suction pressure running 5 psig, so we( my boss man actually ), suspected bad txv. Removed old filter drier and installed new drier. When I went to unsolder the txv oil sprayed out and hit me in the face and caught on fire, when I unsolderd the equalizer tube and distrubution tubes from the txv they both sprayed a little oil and caught on fire. Oil was dripping from the distrubution head assembly so i blew nitrogen through the system, and oil came out with the nitrogen. brazed in new txv, leak tested at 200 psi, no leaks, pulled 250 micron vacum and started system. System still running 5 psig after 15 minutes run time, indoor fan on after coil cooled down, condenser fan running and pulling good airflow,(both coils clean compressor amps 10.1. Ambient=80 degrees, head pressure 265 which= 110 degree condensing temp. fans drawing normal amps and voltage checked out correct. (118 volts) Restaurant closed before I could take superheat and sub cooling. Will an oil logged evaporator cause a low suction? no pump down solenoid. Scratching my head on this one. thanks ahead for any insight, will go back tomorrow for s.h. and s.c. readings. :anyone:
