I have a question about the draft diverter, there are 2 of these furnaces that are connected to a common 10" flue, does any one know if I can install a draft diverter on each unit ? I'm not finish the job yet and I could use a little advice.

The old unit was the same way, I know, it is a little close. There is enough room to remove burner, but if the heat exchange needs replace I guess the ducts would need disconnected. I was there today and started installing oil lines I did the the easy one first. I am installing some nice bracket mounted gerber screw filters with check valves,shut off valves and relays that power a oil booster pump in the front part of the basement. I unfortunately didn't get to finish, I had to go to another job. Ironically I expect that will be the first unit to need a heat exchanger, because that is the one of the two that had giant holes in the combustion chamber. Yesterday we had a passing thunderstorm an noticed water in the flue pipe, the flue runs out the back of the house and up the outside wall in b-vent. The vent has a chimney cap. I'm having the flue replaced or repaired, one or the other. I let the owner know that warranty would be void with out it.

I don't know what the venting requirements are in your area.
Around here they want a stainless chimney liner installed.
A draft regulator on each appliance would be OK.
Your changeout work looks good.
The one furnace might be a little tight, but I've seen a lot worse.

Thanks for the compliment. I figure I will be back there to service in a year and also try to keep a customer. Plus there is more equipment through out the house that will need replaced one day.

The furnace in front serves the second floor, the other does the first floor. 5000 sq. ft.
There is no ac. An older couple in their 70's live there,and my guess why they do not is older folks like it warm. The house from what I can tell has three sections. The original section sq. ft. 3500 to 4000, the center section, kitchen and dining 1500 and the one with the new oil furnaces. They Have an oil fired water boiler with radiators,domestic coil and electric hwh for back up. Back to the ducts, I have a local sheet metal company make for me. Duct work is my favorite part of the job.
