Hello,

I attached a jpeg of the ALC system. The NAE system can't see any BACnet Objects from the ALC? The NAE is setup with ASCII, UDP 47808 and Network 1001. The IP address of the NAE's and the ALC LGR are on the same network.

Not sure on this, but is the ALC network address of BACnet/IP is 2400. Should this be 1001?

All of the points in the ALC is set to visible for BACnet.

Thanks for any help with this

Have you added a BACnet Integration to the NAE and tried to auto discover? The Network Number that the ALC is showing is the BACnet/IP network number. The 1001 is the network address of the NAE, the ALC should have a different network address.

Yes,

The NAE is already using BACnet/IP for the N30's at two different locations.

The NAE and LRG are on the same ethernet network (IP, Sub, GATE). The ALC system is using WebCTRL 3.0 and the NAE's are setup as their own site.

Any other suggestions.

Thanks

Doesn't all the BACnet/IP Network Addresses need to be the same? The NAE is set to 1001 and by what I can see the ALC is set to 2400.

In the NAE we have:
BACnet Object name
Object Identifer
Network Address 1001
and Vender ID.

The Object Identifer is what we see when you do an auto discovery. We did one from a delta system, and it doesn't show the 1001 but the object indentifer.

Go to http://www.chipkin.com/cas-bacnet-explorer/
and download demo. (Not a big fan of the Chipkin program, I would recomend buying Polarsoft's Bacnet Quick Test program if you are going to be doing Bacnet integration work.)
Then scan the IP network. You should be able to see the LGR and the NAE. I would try this from the same network switch the LGR is plugged into, to eliminate any firewall/security issues between buildings. If you can ping the LGR but it is not showing up as a bacnet device when scanning, try unplugging the LGR from the network. Then ping the LGR again to eliminate the possibility of duplicate IP address.
The WebCTRL server uses Bacnet/IP to communicate to the LGR, so if you can see data from the controllers at the front-end, bacnet/ip is working between the server and the LGR. I know of no way to disable the Bacnet/IP protocol in the LGR, since it basically a Bacnet/IP router.
I would suspect something may be blocking Bacnet (Port 47808) broadcasts between the NAE and LGR. It may be a network switch setting or an IP router setting on the customer network located between the two systems. Some IT personel set their switches up to block quite a bit traffic. I have has this issue on a few sites.
