Need details on how 2-switch-1-timer sequencers work

I have a samsung system that won't turn on the AC when the Y1/Y2 (cool stage 1 and 2) and G (fan) inputs are activated at the same time. So I want to delay the Y1/Y2 such that the sequence is G, then Y1, then Y2. This fixes the problem. I've tested this by playing with the wires.

I have been told to use a 2 switch 1 timer sequencer. I've scoured the web but I only find specs and haven't been able to see exactly how they behave as the input power is turned on and off. Do the switches always open (finish) after the off-delay spec or do they stay open until a delay after the input power is removed? A detailed operation description would be helpful. Even better would be waveforms.

I will try to draw a waveform in an image and post it here. I tried in last post but all spaces were reduced to one space which screwed up my diagram.

Why isn't the thermostat separating the stages and fan is what I'd be wondering

It won't be for long, maybe 10 seconds. I just have to get past the problem of samsung not working if all three inputs are activated at once. It's a kludge to get around a serious samsung problem (don't get me started on all the samsung problems).

I’m confused.
The t-stat calls for cooling 1 st stage. The fan and compressor come on.
Why delay it?

I'm embarased to say, but I and my installer tried that and we couldn't get any DOMs to work. We swapped them out and they still didn't work. They would always close immediately with no noticeable delay. They were ICM102s. I don't see how it could be possible that our circuit was wrong. If you touched the power to the input it would close immediately. Weird, weird weird. In any case, one sequencer would be more logical than two DOMs.

Actually the compressor comes on and the fan inside doesn't. It's as if it sees Y and not G.

As I said, the samsung is all f'd up. I didn't want to complicate things, but the central samsung doesn't screw up unless a wall unit in a bedroom is on. And as I said before, this is only one of many bugs in the samsung system. Let me know if you want a list.

It doesn't ever come on until all inputs are removed and it is started again with a delay between G and Y. It runs compressor without fan forever which is a recipe for freezing up.

Then there’s a wiring problem!

The wiring is dirt simple. G/Y1/Y2 go from the thermostat to the samsung. How could that be wrong? We triple checked it including using a meter from the ends of the wires.
