HVAC Filter recomendations - 20x25x5

Our newly purchased home has a 2 year old Trane HVAC system with an Ultravation 90-007 filter box (20x25-5 filters). Right now there is a Generalaire #4551 MERV 11 in it. The filter box recommends an Ultravation 91-006 MERV11.

Could one of you knowledgeable folks suggest a replacement filter for us? We've never had a home that takes the larger filters before.

If the generalaire fits snugly in the case and is the same MERV you should be just fine. Just do not want any air bypassing the filter element is all..

Why not use the Ultravation that the filter housing is designed for?

The Generalaire doesn't fit as snug as I think it probably should. I was just looking for something a little cheaper than the Ultravation that would work in the housing. Seems all the other 20x25x5 are about 1/2 of the cost of the Ultravation, but I did read on the datasheet that it is a MERV 11 that has a restriction like a MERV 8, so that would be better I'd think. I did go ahead an order one for the time being.
