I've been using a gmail account for sending alarms from my supervisor. However, Google has dropped support for less secure third party applications on May 31st. In other works my alarms are no longer sending and I'm looking for a replacement email service to get back up and running. I'm behind a corporate Sophos firewall so my options are limited. My company uses Microsoft 365 for corporate email. I'm not sure if I should setup a Microsoft corporate account or if it will even work? I've tried using a Google Workspace account and it doesn't seem to work. I also tried Juno with no luck. I would ask my IT dept for help but they're offshore in India and not much help. The onsite help desk guys don't have any answers either. What is everyone else using for outgoing email on Niagara? Should I ask Hillary if I can use her private email server?

Is anyone still using the AX SMS service? We used to send email to text but it was a hassle. It would always come from a different number and would have to be deleted one by one. It would clutter our inbox and we started missing other things. I've never tried the SMS service, but I see the driver is still for sale on my current price list.

I used outboundSMTP from Duocircle for years, small fee but much more reliable then gmail and other mail providers I tried.
SMS never found good solution, cell providers email to text sometimes works, but sure if you are willing to pay a reliable email to text service is available

Any sites that do not bring their own email account is being switched over to an email server we have hosted in the cloud.

Have a few sites now that we run two different email accounts on. One fails it can swap over to the other. Alarms still flow and we get notice that the main account is down.

Microsoft / Office 365 email requires TLS 1.2 now for SMTP communication. The Java mail instance used in Niagara did not support TLS 1.2 until v4.9. You need to be running a Niagara version of 4.9 or higher for it to work.

We have used SMTP service SendInBlue
before. You can create a free account that will allow you to send a max of 300 emails a day with an existing email account. Down and dirty but it works for now.

I did the Apps Password for now and my alarms are back up and running. I'm thinking having IT assign a 365 account to the supervisor would be ideal and maybe use Google as the backup? I'm using 4.11 so TLS should work.
