Did you go back to driving a Forklift ?
went thru a divorce after 25 years....damn near killin' me...it's not been pretty at all for me
Business has gotten down to nothing..so...I went and got a job at a university doing hvac for them about 3 months ago...now I'm seeing why everyone always said commercial/industrial/institutional was better all those years ago when I was on here struggling with trying to make a living at residential and raise a family
I Absolutely Love the new job!
I don't have much experience with vave chillers boilers and controls and I hope to learn...and that's why I'm back...to learn about these air handlers that you can walk in that I'm getting to work on now...I'll see if I can figure out how to load up some pictures.... I'll still plan to do Residential on the side but I think I can retire from this job at the University I hope and pray anyway

Reminds me of a funny story, probably told it on before. It was out Moffett Field (NASA). This one building had an air handler the size of a small house. First time I stepped through the 'door' thought I was going to get sucked into the blower. Now keep in mind, it's something like a 100 hp blower, and you have to crouch down to get in there.

You get this major anxiety feeling like you are going to die a painful death. Once on the other side of the door, everything is cool. It's just that feeling of getting sucked through that small door.

Now. Here's the REAL funny part:

There was this '0ld' small Portuguese man that got sucked up into the into the inlet of the blower. He was stuck against the protective screen at the inlet to the blower. Keep in mind, this was a rather large blower.

Oh yeah, forgot the other part of the funny story:

I used to take rookies though that rather small man hatch and watch their eyes get bigger than they have ever been before. Used to do loving that !!
